Wants and Needs began before the last recession and kept filming through it. Over six years, Cap Averill II interviewed hundreds of people and worked through volumes of C-SPAN footage from Washington.
The film asks a plain question. Do the habits of each generation drive the cycle of boom and bust? History suggests they might.
It looks hard at the mistakes we keep repeating. Then it offers ideas for the generations still to come.
